District Adminstration planned to make an approach to the outskirts of the district to raise the voting percentage. A review meeting was held in this connection at collectoriate with SVEEP core group on Saturday. Deputy Commissioner K Ravikumar instructed Block Development Officers (BDOs) to send all booth level officers (BlOs) to village areas with resolution letter and appeal letter (Sankalp Patra, Appeal Patra) to encourage the villagers to cast their votes and motivate other also to reach to booth and cast vote as the Administration targeted 70 percent plus voting even in out skirts. BDOs are also instructed to hold review meetings of SVEEP group on 21st, 24th and 25th block wise and make arrangements of Generator sets at all clusters. DC Kumar also instructed to take banner posters related to voting appeal and throughout the district so that these all can be fixed before 21st of this month.
DC directed to stop the illegal liquor business strictly. SDO and Returning Officer liyakat Ali and other officers were present at the meeting.
