Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Election to be held in Ranchi on May 6, deputy commissioner cum district election officer of Ranchi, Rai Mahimapat Ray inspected the strong room situated in Pandra on Thursday.
He gave directions to the assistant returning officers to inspect the strong room properly as the EVMs have to be kept there. Ray also gave directions to make proper barricading, parking of vehicles and place for political party workers to stay ahead of the counting to be held on May 23.
Meanwhile, a friendly cricket match was organized by district administration on Thursday to spread awareness about voting. The match between Administration 11 and Media 11 was organized early in the morning in which administration team won with 31 runs.
