Presiding over the organising committee meeting Deputy Commissioner Akanksha Ranjan on Thursday finalized the celebrations on account of the Republic Day. She went through the past records and decided the programmes in which some new things were added while a few things were changed. Adding some names she directed the officials to make efforts to select best Mukhiya, Jal Sahiya, SHG, Sports persons, BDO, CO, police officials apart from the other persons who will be honoured on the day.
The main function will be held in the BS College Stadium. She focused on the parade and ‘jhankis’
and ordered not to organise the cultural show in the evening of the Republic Day. She also added a Prabhat Pheri of school children in the morning of the Day. The transport department was ordered to maintain no entry of vehicles in the town from 6 AM to 1 PM.
