Garhwa DC Neha Arora directed to the Cooperative Society officials to achieve one lakh target of farmers crops under Prime Minister Crops Insurance scheme for Kharif season by July 31.
After holding a meeting with the officials the DC said that under this schemes farmers can insure their maize and paddy crops at only twoper cent premium.
Insured amount have been notified Rs 19466 per acre for the paddy while Rs 14091 per acre notified for the maize crops. For the insurance farmers will paid Rs 389.36 per acre for the paddy while Rs 281.83 will paid per acre for maize crops, DC said.
