In a meeting related to the Covid- 19 vaccine chaired by Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC) cum District
Magistrate Chhavi Ranjan various cells were formed for vaccination management in the district.
As per the directives issued by the DC, activities of each cell will be reviewed every week, while the cell in- charge has been directed to be present in the meeting with the reports. The District Medical Officer has been directed to coordinate with all the various cells.
Ranjan issued necessary guidelines to the civil surgeon regarding the maintenance of cold chain management, data base management and other important data. Officials were issued directives regarding number of vaccination centres, necessary equipment and vaccinators.
The DC also reviewed the database of health workers. The concerned official informed that the database of health workers from government as well as private hospitals has been prepared. Out of 245 private hospitals data from 241 has been obtained while from the remaining it will be available soon.
Ranjan further reviewed the hub cutters, AEFI, vaccine carrier, ice packs, identification of immunisation sites and maintenance of biomedical waste and issued directives to the concerned officials.
Sub- Divisional officer Sadar, Ranchi, Sub- Divisional Officer Bundu, Civil Surgeon, Project Director ITDA, OSD Covid-19 cum Deputy Election Officer Ranchi, District Social Welfare Officer, DRCHO and other officials were present on the occasion.
