DC Manish Ranjan felicitated four youths of Hazaribagh for their brilliance and achievements, at a function organised at the newly-built indoor badminton stadium in Hazaribagh.
Ranjan honoured Akash Jain who had cracked the prestigious UPSC exams this year and has got 233rd rank. DC also honored Syed Anwar Ansari, son of a motor mechanic, who has been qualified for higher studies in UK. Jhalo Kumari and Sandhya Kachchap, members of Indian women football team which entered into quarter finals of world cup school soccer championship at France, were also felicitated by the Deputy Commissioner. DC presented mementos, bouquets and shawls to these talented youths of Hazaribagh. He also distributed the cheques of sports scholarship to selected students of SC, ST and OBC categories for the upcoming pyka games. DC handed over the keys of newly built indoor stadium to the office bearers of Hazaribagh badminton association. On this occasion SDO Rajeev Ranjan, DWO, DEO and the members of badminton association were present.
