Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh Sunil Kumar wants to enlighten the district about the importance of environment. Chairing the meeting of district environment committee, he suggested to expand the environment fair, organised on 7th October every year in Dudhmatiya, Tatijharia. Kumar also directed the district education officer to arrange functions in every school and other such organisations calling for active participation of the students to educate the masses on the importance of trees, water, soil etc. A panel was also formed to look into the disposal of medical waste. As per Kumar’s directions, civil surgeon will give letter to every nursing home mentioning the guidelines of disposalwithin two days. Famous environmentalist Mahadeo Mahto, Dinesh Khandelwal and district officials were also present.
