Chief Minister Raghubar Das reiterated his Government’s commitment towards protection of water, forest and land (Jal, Jungle and Jameen) during BJP Scheduled Tribes Morcha meeting here on Saturday. Slamming the entire Opposition for allegedly ‘creating confusion’ among tribal populace of the State, Das said the Government was committed to foil the efforts of those negative forces.
“Our Government is committed for the protection of Jal, Jungle and Jameen. But anti-development forces have been trying to stall development of society and State by creating confusion and dilemma. Youth of Scheduled Tribes Morcha will have to play pivotal role in neutralising those forces and helping Government to take its development agenda to those villages,” said the CM while addressing office bearers of the Morcha from all the districts of State.
In the meeting where Morcha State president and MlA Ram Kumar Pahan, Gangotri Kujoor, general secretary Bindeshwar Oraon, Morcha State vice president and ex-MlA Kamlesh Oraon, Ashok Baraik and dozens of office bearers and workers were present, the CM also urged people to stay alert and away from such anti-development forces which had remained busy in dividing Schedule Tribes of the State.
Das added the State Government took a number of measures to take its development programmes in villages where tribal people had been kept away from basic amenities and services since independence. “This government is committed to the development of those villages, the poor, the farmer, the suppressed and downtrodden and most of the Central and State government plans have been fabricated keeping only those people in mind. Morcha workers have major role to play in taking those plans to these people,” said the CM. He also requested tribal populace of the State not to allow anyone play with their culture and livelihood.
Pahan said on the occasion, where proposals against evangelism and implementation of Sarna Code Bill were also discussed and passed, that the party never believed in appeasement and vote bank politics. “BJP made the dream of a separate Jharkhand State true, and all round development of the State is also destined through BJP only.”
