Five agents of AVI Namdhari Savings and Credit institute a non banking sector were handed down to Daltonganj police here on Monday by a dozen harassed customers.
The customers alleged these five were working for the masters of the non banking finance company that has wrapped up from here. These agents are still instrumental in disposing of the assets of the masters in absentia.
Sanjay Kumar Malviya officer in charge of Daltonganj police station has confirmed this handing down of 5 agents to police by the customers.
Malviya said police would first study and investigate the case if the agents are any accused of playing fraud with the customers.
The 5 have been detained and are being quizzed said this police officer.
