Daltonganj JVM(P) MlA Aloke Chourasia Wednesday hosted a Van Bhoj at village Dulsulma near Malay Dam here. A member of the Central committee of the State JVM (P) Murari Pandey said more than 2,000 men, women and children took part in this Van Bhoj.Pandey said the menu was simple khichdi and chokha. However, Malay Dam is famous for high quality live fish but the poor man’s diet was adopted by the young MlA Chourasia.
The JVM(P) first term MlA faces the heat of the defeated Congress candidate KN Tripathy who last week had hosted a Van Bhoj near Chiyanki air strip where too more than 3,000 people had food in the afternoon.Van Bhoj is a kind of thanks giving treat but here the leaders are going out to gauge their people’s loyalty.
Tripathy has further accelerated his village tour and has not allowed any sign of defeat to shadow his face. The people of Daltonganj Assembly constituency have begun comparing Tripathy and Chourasia even when the new incumbent Chourasia is not even 30 days old as result of the Assembly polls came on December 23 only last year. And people count is focused on law and order, crime scenario, effective public distribution system.
