The Daltonganj JVM (P)MlA Aloke Chourasia has set a record far ahead of his age! He routed the first term but most popular and powerful Congress candidate KN Tripathy whose camp was as sure of victory of its leader Tripathy as one is sure of the sun rising.
Chourasia's age is doubted and naturally the doubt comes more from the camp of his nearest rival. But sources said there are not many ears given to it. The poor, the bare footed and the under clothed people are with him.
Chourasia and his men took out processions in the town Daltonganj wherein the poor danced and danced. For these poor a tooer tapper ( orphan) has reached Ranchi and this is their great achievement. The poor processionists had arranged DJ sound with their own money said Bheem Chourasia the architect of Aloke's victory.
A senior JVM (p)leader Murari Pandey told the Pioneer that ' When Chourasia was all set to win the poll the Tripathy camp raised the bogey of Chourasia's age at the counting centre to which the officials there said nothing can be done at this stage'.
Pandey said Chourasia's nomination papers were thoroughly scrutinised on the day of Scrutiny fixed by the Election Commission Of India and then none of the contestants/or any of their representatives had raised any doubt about his age then. .
Sources said in Scrutiny which is done by the returning officer and his team of officials every minute aspect is verified like age, case in court, FIR, Pan card, description of wealth on affidavit and other details .
In the Scrutiny Chourasia sailed through safely and comfortably. And according to JVM ( P) leader his mother who too had filed nomination withdrew her nomination on the day of Withdrawal finding her son well safe in the poll ring.
Pandey said the doubt now on his age is an afterthought and people's verdict in Chourasia's favour be accepted with grace and dignity he opined.
