Czech firms — TS Plzen, Czechoslovakia and VH-Services ltd, Pilsen— have assured HEC of modernisation of the plant in Ranchi during a meeting between HEC CMD Avijit Ghosh and TS Plzen alongwith VH-Services ltd, Pilsen, Czech Republic at Hannover Messe 2015. The meeting was conducted on modernisation work to be done for the old machine tools of HEC and the Press modernisation of Foundry Forge Plant, attended by Vlastimil Rous from TS Plzen and Vladimir Havilcek of VHS.
TS Plzen, Czechoslovakia is the original manufacturer of the 6000 Tonne press and has the long association with HEC for modernizing the press of HEC. The company had modernized the 2650 Tonne press successfully. The Czech government is actively considering getting associated with the modernization of HEC work, with the options of financing the modernization of HEC. This will help HEC in getting the modern technology with full support of modernizing the old machine tools. TS Plzen has assured HEC the press will be updated with the most modern fittings with a possibility of upgrading it to higher capacity with latest CNC features and a manipulator of higher capacity which will help HEC is getting the higher capacity forging with best quality of forging output.
Further, VH-Services ltd, Czech Republic has assured HEC that, it will be able to modernize the most of the Czech machines with latest cmc controls. This will give HEC workmen a better handling of the machine tools, a higher output a better accuracy and saving lot of time in completing the job.
The meeting was also attended by the Rajan Katoch, Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry and Visvajeet Sahay, Joint Secretary Department of Heavy Industry, who expressed that the team of HEC is going very fast in technically closing the issues and is showing its capability in taking up the massive challenge of modernization of the plants and machineries. Rajan Katoch, Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry assured, all support will be given to HEC for modernizing the machines. He expressed confidence in workers and officers of the company in leading HEC to new, modern and powerful outlook. He hoped the team of HEC will put all its effort in completing the modernization of HEC in limited time. The meeting ended with Czech technology providers expressing confidence in supporting HEC modernization to its best effort.
