The denizens of Hazaribagh got five hours of relaxation from curfew on Wednesday. On fourth day Hazaribagh district administration announced relaxation in curfew from 12 noon to 5 pm imposed since Sunday evening in the town and adjoining areas of Pelawal and Katkamdag police stations. DC Mukesh Kumar and SP Akhilesh Jha said that the situation was under control and they would review it again in late evening.

In a joint Press briefing DC Mukesh Kumar and SP Akhilesh Jha again appealed to the denizens to not believe rumours and if anyone gets any news then one should cross-check it with the district administration. Regarding Tuesday night’s incident DC Kumar said that nothing happened either near Hazaribagh Railway Station situated in Kud and at Indrapuri Chowk. He along with other officials himself visited the spots to cross-check and found that they were only rumors.

SP Akhilesh Jha informed that the two arrested injured persons of Habibi Nagar have revealed all the seven names, who were with them in making of bombs. According to their statement one person had died and rest four were traceless. He refused to comment on the question that those four have been buried by the miscreants and said that for it they needed court order to dig out the dead bodies. The family members of other four are also absconding. However he added that all seven are locals and said that combing operation is going on to nab the culprits.

On Wednesday noon the dead body of the person died in bomb explosion was recovered from an under-construction septic tank of the same locality. There were rumors in the town that police has recovered some more bombs from Kud area but it was not confirmed by the police. Meanwhile patrolling of paramilitary forces, RAF, CRPF and police looks to be intensified during the relaxation period which helped the denizens to come out of their houses without fear and in purchasing items required from the market. On Wednesday during five hour relaxation things looked coming back on track as market opened in almost all areas and the prices came down as it was before curfew.

DC and SP said that joint operation of district and police officials is going on regularly to nab the anti-social elements and till today noon 15 persons have been arrested in charges of communal violence and clashes. They said that they have identified at least two persons who have posted engineered photos on their Facebook and those who have commented on it. The district and police administration will book them soon under IT Act.

The official duo again appealed to everyone to assist the district administration in bringing back normalcy in the town and adjoining areas and appreciated the steps taken by some conscious denizens who have started keeping eyes on strangers in their areas.
