Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraverty on Tuesday chaired a high level meeting on the mega event going to be organised at Khelgaon on October 20 based on the theme of women’s empowerment and their rights.
During the meeting Chakraverty was informed that about 45,000 women including Anganwadi Sevikas, Sahiyas, Women of Self Help Groups and Medical students, women mukhiyas and panchayat representatives would participate in Mahila Adhikar Utsav on October 20 at Khelgaon.
The CS instructed Ranchi DC Vinay Kumar Choubey, SSP Ranchi Prabhat Kumar to take care of the women participants and ensure that they should be properly brought and sent back to the respective destination safely. Proper fooding and lodging arrangements should be done for the participants and a team of police force alongwith public relation officer should be deployed in every bus coming from outskirts of Ranchi.
Chakraverty also instructed to make arrangements of a squad team and a magistrate with the buses coming from various districts of the State. He also decided to play a special train from Dumka and Sahebganj on October 19 and 20.
Senior officials including Principal Secretary Home NN Pandey, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister SK Satpathy, DGP Rajeev Kumar, Principal Secretary of Health Department BK Tripathi and others participated in the meeting.
