Chief Secretary RS Sharma on Monday instructed the State Sports department officers to fill the vacant sports positions for a contract of three years duration. He guided the officials to extend the tenure of these contractual officers according to their eligibility.
He was speaking during an Executive Committee meeting of Jharkhand Sports Authority attended by Sports Minister Geetashree Oraon and Secretary Vandana Dadel. The Minister said that no carelessness will be tolerated regarding the maintenance of stadiums existing in the state. Noticing the increasing sports development in the State she stressed on reducing the rental rate of these stadiums.
Sports Secretary Vandana Dadel mentioned the non-deployment of stadium managers as a ‘cause of worry’. She requested the Chief Secretary and the Minister to prepare policies for Athletics, Badminton, Table Tennis and Swimming.
