CS, DGP to take stock of Manatu Action Plan

Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma and DGP DK Pandey are scheduled to reach Manatu to review developmental works under the broad sheet of Manatu Action Plan on Thursday. DC Ameet Kumar and SP Indrajeet Mahtha made visits to the area on Tuesday to take stock of the preparations for the review meeting.

Sources said Palamu administration is taking cue from such a review meeting recently held in latehar's Saryu area. Sources said the CS was displeased at Saryu when the latehar administration had rolled out a stall culture display there which sources said did not go well with the tenor of review meeting.

Sources said Palamu administration is in adherence to the laid designs of this review meeting. Speaking to The Pioneer the DC said, "We will do what we will be asked to do. We will present as to where we are wanting as then the State Government will step in to help us over come our shortcomings and deficiencies."

When reminded that Manatu has shown keen interest in solar driven water supply system the DC said, "It is now an old thing. Rural folks have taken faster to solar energy than the urban ones. What we want to show in this review meeting is where we face shortcvomings or deficiencies as these will be redressed then instead of showcasing our achievement."

Manatu Action Plan is to cover 5 panchayats. Some of the panchayats here are still reeling under the medieval age like no banking facility, lack of teachers in schools and limping PDS delivery. This review meeting was to be held in fact on March 22 which was extended to March 23 which is confirmed by SDO Sadar Nancy Sahay.
