Chief Secretary (CS) RS Sharma on Wednesday chaired a meeting of Jharia Rehabilitation & Development Authority to review the development made so far.
The CS asked the authorities to identify families affected because of underground fire in Jharia and pay attention towards their welfare and rehabilitation. Sharma also conveyed institutional support to the JRDA and stressed on arranging centre sponsored special vehicles for the authority.
On the existing Master plan, the CS said it is not working properly so it needs to be solved and asked the JRDA to present a detailed survey report. Incidentally, Dhanbad DC Prashant Kuma presented a report compiled by JRDA on demographic survey, land acquisition, transfer and rehabilitation, civil works, financial report besides progress report on other activities. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Mines DK Tiwari and other officials.
