The AJSU party, a pre-poll alliance partner of the ruling BJP, is scheduled a meeting of its central committee at Patratu for February 9 where it is supposed to take some crucial decisions in the wake of the current political scenario. According to a party insider, the hardcore workers are feeling demoralised by the attitude and remarks made by the BJP leaders and want the leadership to take a ‘decisive’ step.
“Despite the party being into a pre-poll alliance with the NDA, the BJP has shown a sense of distrust to the AJSU, which was not acceptable to the hardcore party workers,” he added. Party spokesperson Deosharan Bhagat asserted that a sense of dissatisfaction was being created among the AJSU workers due to the Government’s apathy towards Cabinet expansion. “It is just because we are not taking Cabinet expansion seriously, the Opposition is getting a chance of making a mockery of this Government,” said Bhagat.
“Despite having been electorally forced to do fielding, the Opposition parties have started warming up while the Government on the batting side was even reluctant to declare its team, which is not good for democracy,” he added. “The clear mandate given to the NDA must be honoured by this Government and should not be created a sense of confusion among the people,” he said. According to Bhagat, other than the issues related to strengthening of organisation and membership drive, some of the burning issues, including the current scenario in the State will also be discussed.
