A CRPF officer posted in Arunachal Pradesh has been called immediately to Palamu during the time of polls in Jharklhand, said CRPF sources here.

The CRPF officer of Arunachal Pradesh is Anil Minz, who is the Commandant of 186 battalion of the CRPF there. Minz was transferred from Daltonganj to Arunachal Pradesh some few months back. He was posted here as the Commandant of 134 battalion of the CRPF .

Sources said that it was the IG, CRPF, RK Mishra, who put his foot down and got Minz back in Palamu at this time of election. Minz is the adviser to the DIG CRPF.

A total of 65 companies of the CPMF have come to Palamu for the Assembly election.  Anil Minz has confirmed his arrival here from Arunachal Pradesh as an adviser to the DIG CRPF. Sources said Minz’s arrival has come as a shot in the arm of the CRPF.

Minz did not open his card of strategies saying  “Our aim is to have incident free poll and to ensure  safety and security to jawans, officers, polling personnel and the voters’.

Asked if this is a challenging time here in Palamu, Minz replied, “Tell me when there is no challenge in Palamu. Palamu is a very happening district in this State.”

The 134 battalion of the CRPF at the command of Satish K linda is a well coordinated force having good rapport with the district police as no CPMF can do anything unless guided and work out by the district police , said one IPS officer who had his stint here as a SP some years back.

Some old timer CRPF officers who do not wish to be identified here said  Anil Minz has to his credit a whole lot of experiences of fighting against Naxalites in times like election and non-election period here and this has been the  factor of his presence once again here for the November 25 election.
