Extremism is such a trade in Palamu where naxals letter heads are used by youths taking to crimes to earn fast bucks. The Paton police in Palamu Friday cracked a case of this sort, said the DSP Ajay Kumar when the police arrested Pradeep and Girija and recovered two pistols and three cell phones.

Ajay said the recovery of illicit weapon was definitely a good effort but recovery of xeroxed copies of letter heads of the PlFI outfit stunned the police most. Ajay showed a couple of xeroxed copies of letter heads of the PlFI to The Pioneer on Saturday, saying these xeroxed copies are used by the criminals to extort money, as one attempt was made when a school teacher Haribansh Dubey, of a  Government school was asked to pay 50,000 rupees but before this, the Paton police arrested Pradeep and Girija and aborted this money collection from this teacher on Xeroxed copy of the PlFI. Pradeep was arrested first and then was caught Girija said Ajay.

Money collection business on xeroxed copy of PlFI letter heads are the latest trend in Palamu. There has been cases where criminals have masqueraded as naxals but here their letter heads are used or abused by criminals for easy money. Pradeep and Girija were remanded in judicial custody Saturday April 19 added Ajay.  Girija’s father is a cHowkidar who is a 4th grade government employee while Pradeep used to sell date palm liquor (taree)  to cover up his networking of crime.
