The Garhwa police arrested gangster Shyam Raj Sharma alias Pankaj Sharma, the mastermind of the Vimal Singh murder case and sent him to judicial custody on Wednesday. Giving details SDPO Awadh Kumar Yadav said that Vimal Singh alias Munna Singh was shot dead in Sukhbana of Garhwa town on June 22 due to the ongoing land dispute.
In this regard, Vikesh Singh, brother of the deceased lodged FIR against Krishna Paswan, Anil Paswan, Anil Ram and Santosh Chandravanshi native of the same village.
After the incident, the angry villagers caught two criminals on the spot and thrashed them to death.
After the incident, an SIT was formed under the leadership of the sub-divisional police officer on the instructions of the SP.
He said that the named accused Shyam Raj Sharma, who carried out the incident by the team, has been arrested, he has accepted his involvement in this case.
SDPO Avadh Kumar Yadav informed that Shyam Raj Sharma is a dreaded criminal around 20 criminal cases included four murders, four bank robberies, extortion, road robbery etc. registered against him in different police stations.
Raids are being conducted for the arrest of rest accused Anil Paswan alias Bhiku Paswan and others, SDPO added.
