CPI (M) will try to prevent communal forces to come to power in next general elections which is scheduled in 2019, said Politburo  Member of Communist Party of India Marxist, Brinda Karat, here on Thursday.

Addressing at a press conference Karat said, “People of the five states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram have exhibited the original feature of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and the party will face similar results in upcoming general elections. Only in the name of religion and cast one can’t dupe for a long time.”

Alleging BJP for spreading communalism in the country, she said, during the election campaign in the five states all the leaders of the BJP were trying to instigate a religion and polarise voters.

They were trying to polarize the voters on the name of voters but this time the voters have displayed their understanding and voted against the party and also spread a message that the country will not tolerate such kind of activity for such a long time.”

Speaking on the issue of recent verdict of the Supreme Court, Karat said, “Rafale deal the central government has not submitted actual records before the Apex Court. The government has not submitted those records which it has submitted to Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). For the scrutinizing the matter Joint Parliamentary Committee is very necessary (JPC).”

She further added, “As the SC held verdict held on the report of the CAG but the CAG had not puts its record in the parliament and it had not placed it before Public Account Committee (PAC).

This is complete joke with the defence system of India.”

Terming the NDA government as dictator and arrogant she said, “Every day there is news of death of the para teachers but the State government is taking any initiative. This is completely case of inhumanity.”

Karat said, “As far as the case of Latehaar, the CPI (M) is welcoming the decision of the court. But the government is giving only Rs. one lakh as compensation which is completely is not expectable. The party is demanding that the government increase the compensation.”
