Urban Development Minister CP Singh, stressing on organising traffic movement and fixing up traffic signals in the State capital, directed installation of CCTV cameras at all important squares and other strategic locations in the State capital. During a meeting with the officials of Transport department on Thursday, Singh also directed to take immediate action in this regard.
The Minister also discussed over land acquisition of available plots with various municipal bodies with the transport department. Principal Secretary of Urban Development department Arun Kumar Singh as well as Transport Secretary Ratan Kumar along with the other officials was also present during the meeting.
Secretaries of both the departments expressed their willingness for the acquisition of land from respective municipal bodies and a consensus was reached on evaluating the land after doing physical verification of the land.
Both the secretaries also agreed upon providing better facilities to the citizens of this state and making quality bus stands available to the people. Principal Secretary of Urban Development department said that it was also important to find out what was to be done where. Singh also stressed on providing proper information to the general masses through various media houses while the auctioning of old properties. Officials during the meeting were directed to prepare a detailed project report in this regard and take further actions in this regard.
