Equivalent to the Shivlinga in Karnataka, the Country's second highest Shivlinga

was established in Sureshwardham in Chutia in the State Capital. Thousands of

women started the Yatra with a Kalash on their forehead.

The 5-day Pran Pratishtha ritual programme started with a grand Kalash Yatra this

morning. The Kalash Yatra started from the Swarnrekha Dham Chutia temple

complex at 6 in the morning. After filling the water in Banash Talab Bahubazar, all

the women returned to the temple premises from the pond after that the program of

Pran Pratishtha was started.

Apart from Kalash Yatra, Panchang Poojan and Mandal Pravesh program are being

organized on Akshaya Tritiya. The height of Shivling in Kautilya Lingeshwar

temple of Karnataka is 108 feet, on the same lines; a grand Shivling has been

established in Ranchi on the advice of engineers. It took 10 years to build this

temple. After the conch shell, its sound will resonate inside the temple for about a

minute.

Residents of Chutia area took part enthusiastically in the construction work which

lasted for about ten years and on Tuesday with the consecration of life, 50 people

will be able to perform Jalabhishek on Baba Bholenath at a time in the temple.

Under the leadership of the Chairman of the temple construction committee,

Suresh Sahu  a grand Kalash procession was taken out in which Padma Shri

recipient Mukund Nayak, Santosh Singh, Dr Rajesh Gupta, Alok Kumar Dubey,

Alok Sahu Bunty, Sanjay Kumar, Chhatradhari Mahato, Amit Kumar, Kishore

Nayak, Rohit Singh, Santosh Kumar, Ajit Kumar, Balam Sahu, Prakash Burma

were prominently involved.

Such a historic gathering of women devotees up to 5 kms was never seen in

Jharkhand. Priests have been called from Banaras to consecrate the temple.

Chairman of the committee Sahu said that on May 4, Akhand Ramayana will be

recited from 7 am onwards and the establishment of idols, establishment of beds

and setting up of fire will be done.

The Shivlinga of Sureshvardham temple can be seen even from a long distance.

The perimeter of the temple is 625 square feet. For this temple situated on the

banks of Swarnarekha river, water will be available for devotees to perform

Jalabhishek from nearby areas. The morning and evening Aarti will be a delight

here.
