Human Resource Department (HRD) Minister Neera Yadav reiterated that the people of the department involved in corrupt practices will not be spared and the initiatives taken by the State Government of making it effective and transparent will be put into action at any cost. Yadav, while counting on the achievements made by HRD department on completing one year in the Government, said that the Government focuses on creating a corruption-free, clean and transparent environment in the education system.

“The focus is on making primary, secondary, higher as well as technical education more and more developed so that we can get maximum utilization of human and intellectual resources in the state,” said the Minister. All efforts will be made to provide new avenues for employment to the students so that they could be made independent, she added.

Addressing media persons at Suchna Bhawan in Ranchi on Tuesday, Yadav also asserted that the Government also aims in providing a corruption free, clean and transparent environment to the students so that the level of education could be upgraded to a higher level making education system more and more transparent.

“The Government is trying to implement this thought to the ongoing process of teacher’s appointment in the state,” she said.

Explaining Government’s move towards promoting girl’s education in the State, Yadav further added that a decision has been taken to set up Jharkhand Balika Awasiya Vidyalaya in the remaining 57 blocks of the state, which did not have Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV). These schools will also be run on the lines of KGBV where free fooding and lodging will be provided to the girls studying in class 6 to 12.

Moreover, looking at the enthusiasm shown by girl students towards KGBV in rural areas, 50 additional seats have been created from class 6-8 while 200 students are being admitted in the classes 9-12, added the minister. More than 800 students of 203 KGBV studying in class 8 are being provided tabs, to be supplied by JAP (IT).

According to Yadav, the motive behind providing tabs to the students is to improve retention of girl students in schools and also to give impetus to ‘pehle padhai phir vidai’ drive in the State. Gymnasiums are also being set up in KGBV so that create a trend towards sports in the students, she said.
