Corporate efforts to raise voter awareness in J'pur

The corporate houses of the steel city have joined hands with the district administration to ensure total vote percentage in the Assembly polls. Taking the lead, Tata Steel has launched a drive creating awareness amongst the voters. The steel major has put up hoardings featuring its employees making an appeal to the voters.

In the recently held general election, JUSCO too played an important role in creating awareness amongst citizens of Jamshedpur and the results were amazing. The voting percentage rose from 51.2% in 2011 to 66.38% in 2014. As a responsible corporate citizen JUSCO has again come forward to do the same for the coming Jharkhand Assembly Election scheduled to be held in Jamshedpur and Seraikela on 2 December 2014.

JUSCO’s message saying “Aapka vote mahatpurna hai, iska upyog zaroor kare” has been constantly moving around the city. The appeal has been displayed in all company accommodation through flat complex hoardings and on company’s intranet site for internal communication to employees. A circular has also been issued granting holiday to all employees on 2 December, as per Government Regulations, to ensure maximum voting. Simultaneously, JUSCO’s awareness van is moving around the city along with the Nukkad-natak team to create awareness. Message on voting appeal by JUSCO on FM Radio Channels has started airing.
