Police are yet to find any trace of the Bhim Singh Munda, who was allegedly abducted from Burmu area near Ranchi on Monday. Munda, who was abducted near a culvert while he was returning home from the College on Monday evening, is the Chairman of Nilay Institute of Technology located at Thakurgaon.
“We are yet to trace him as the investigation is still on and several people including his driver has been interrogated but no any concrete clue has been found out,” said Rural SP of Ranchi SK Jha.
According to Jha, Munda was allegedly abducted by two persons while he was returning from his college on Monday evening.
“It does not seem to be a handiwork of the Maoists as no ransom or any other call demanding levy has come to the family members so far,” added Jha.
Sources also revealed that the incident might have taken place to recover money from Munda as he was neck deep into loans and said to have received threat calls from lenders a few days back, said a police source. “The police however, are investigating the case taking all the aspects into consideration,” he said.
Munda was intercepted by a white Scorpio without number plate on it and was dragged out of his car on the gun point and was taken away by the two youths at the river culvert as he came out of Thakurgaon along with his driver and an employee of the college.
