The Ranchi police seem to have finally responded to wishes of all those who have been through the heart wrenching experience of doing paper work at city’s hospital while trying to get emergency treatment for the near and dear ones.
In a meeting with the city based hospital administrators, Traffic SP Rajeev Ranjan urged them to be more kind with road accident victims and not press the relatives for fulfilling unnecessary paper works.
“The time which is usually spent on interrogation is valuable for the patient. It can be used to save their life,” pointed out Ranjan. Earlier on the day, the Traffic SP held a meeting with the school bus owners to discuss ways to decongest the city roads.
If all goes as envisioned by the Ranchi police the city is soon is going to find a solution to traffic congestion caused by school buses especially when they embark on picking up and dropping children at hundreds of arbitrary stops spread across the city.
To ensure congestion free road the Ranchi police today held a meeting the school owners and discussed several options to achieve the objective. “Everyday we deal with traffic congestion so this meeting was called to brainstorm ways to deal with problem,” said the Traffic SP.
The meeting which was conducted at the behest of Traffic SP was flooded with suggestions to get rid of congestion on overburdened city roads especially the main artery, Main Road. Singh also issued instructions to the bus owners in this regard.
Considering the positions of bus stop it was decided that the location of these busses will changed besides changing routes of school buses. Interestingly, most of the stops for school buses have been fixed without keeping in view the location and convenience of people commuting through that location.
“Parents must bring their child at one location. It will help in streamlining the traffic to some extent,” maintained Ranjan. Incidentally, the Traffic SP also emphasized on sensitizing bus drivers to the problem and suggested organizing a workshop for the drivers in this regard.
