A team is likely to be sent by the Ranchi police to interrogate the suspended Vigilance Registrar Mushtaq Ahmed at his home soon who did not turn up before the investigating team at Daily Market Police Station. Three judges along with Vigilance Registrar Mushtaq Ahmed were issued notices by the Ranchi Police asking them to appear before it for interrogation after their name surfaced in the Tara Shahdeo episode.
“A police team may be sent on Monday or Tuesday to the Vigilance Registrar’s residence for interrogating him as his statement could not be recorded on Friday.” said a senior police official in Ranchi Police.Principal District and Session Judge of Deohghar Pankaj Srivastava, Principal District and Session Judge of Hazaribagh Nageshwar Prasad and Additional District Session Judge of Deoghar Mrs Veena Mishra have recorded their statements with the police on Friday.
Former District Judge ID Mishra, allegedly the introducer of Ranjeet Singh Kohli to the other judges on the other hand, has also been noticed by the Ranchi Police asking him to be available in Ranchi for interrogation.
All the three judges, who tuned up before the police for interrogation on Friday in the Tara Shahdeo case, here blamed retired District Judge I D Mishra for introducing Ranjeet Singh Kohli alias Raquibul Hassan to them. They however, have denied their hands in providing any favour to him.
Meanwhile, Tara Shahdeo has been invited to speak in a work shop on the topic ‘love-Jehad’ to be organized in Karnataka. According to a close relative of Shahdeo, a civil society organization has contacted Shahdeo over phone for her confirmation while a formal invitation is yet to be received from them. According to the sources, Shahdeo may not be able to take part in the workshop due to her prior engagements.
