After the arrest of fourth blast suspect Uzair from Doranda rea of Ranchi investigation agencies examined suspicious objects seized during their raids from Sithio village on Thursday. Although a lot of objects were scanned by the teams of NIA, Patna Police and Ranchi Police, the pressure cooker bomb was said to be potentially most devastating.
The investigating agencies first produced the seized objects in a local court on Thursday and then took those to Dhurwa Police Station. NIA’s DSP rank officer Rafi Ahmed Siddiqui alongwith other policemen and a bomb squad of PTC Hazaribagh took a closed door demo of the pressure cooker bomb, sources said.
They circuited everything and established that the items could make a proper high intensity bomb with an effective capacity of destruction in 10 metres radius of its explosion, sources added.
State Police Spokesperson and ADG (law and Order) SN Pradahn said that the NIA team had returned yesterday with the arrested suspect, while a couple of them were in Ranchi to follow the case.
