Garhwa police recovered the body of abducted contractor Balindra Singh in a jute bag from Tildag more under town police station on Thursday.
According to Garhwa SP Sudhir Kumar Jha, the deceased was on his way to Ranka to pay percentage of levy (Extortion Money) to the extremists on Monday when he was kidnapped. Police traced his mobile location at Daltongaj on Monday. They have also traced the last call from the deceased’s mobile phone which was made to one Ram Autar Chauhan. After the verification of the conversation, police found that the deceased’s sim card was registered with a fake name.
The hunt is going on to arrest the culprit. Protesting against the murder, the contractor association blocked the road at Ranka more which lifted after an assurance of Garwa SP that killers would be arrested. The block was held for about one hour. Police handed over the dead body to the deceased’s family after autopsy.
