Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday said there is a direct contest between ‘Jungle Raj’ and ‘Mangal Raj’ in Bihar Assembly Elections.
Das, while talking to mediapersons at the BJP headquarters here, said that the people of Bihar have already made up their minds to vote for the BJP. He returned here on Sunday after holding several election meetings in Bihar.
“People have already made up their minds to vote for the BJP above the caste and religious lines as they did in 2014 lok Sabha elections,” said the CM. He was sure that a Government under the leadership of Narendra Modi will be formed in Bihar this time, he said.
Meanwhile, the State BJP has decided not make any interference during the upcoming panchayat elections, slated to take place from November 22 to December 12 in Jharkhand.
The party workers, however, have been given all liberty to take part in the elections as candidates. The decision was taken during a core committee meeting at the BJP headquarters on Monday.
“Since panchayat elections in Jharkhand are not being conducted on the basis of party lines, the State BJP has decided not to make any interference during the panchayat elections,” said State BJP President Ravindra Rai. The party workers, on the other hand, are free to take part in the elections, he added.
According to Rai, even though organizational elections in state will get affected due to panchayat elections, the party will make all efforts to conduct the organizational elections on time. “Organizational elections in the urban areas will be conducted as per the schedule,” added Rai.
Speaking about a large number of office bearers from Jharkhand BJP taking part in the election campaigning in Bihar, Rai said that the state unit is ready to provide all support for Bihar elections where the situation of BJP is far better than the other parties.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Minister Raghubar Das, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, PN Singh, Rakesh Prasad, Anant Ojha, Saryu Roy, CP Singh and louis Marandi.
