A constable was killed after a speeding truck (hyva) bearing registration no. JH-12E-7802 rammed his motorbike on Telaiya bye-pass on Sunday. The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Prem Kumar Roy. The accident occurred around 10.30 pm when he was travelling back to his home after performing his duties of traffic control.
According to police “The constable died on the spot as the truck’s wheels crushed him.” Sources said, “The truck (Hyva) was on a high speed and the collision was so intense that the vehicle was reduced to pieces.” In another incident, two bodies were recovered from railway track near Gujhandi railway station on Gaya-Dhanbad rail route. The deceased were reported to be from the same family. Police seized the bodies and started investigating into the matter.
