Congress used farmers as vote bank, shedding crocodile tears: BJP

Published on:

State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo retorted to the statement of JPCC president Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, saying that the Congress party always looked at the farmers as vote bank. It never wanted their economic development. Pratul said that the Congress is today protesting against the agricultural laws and spreading rumours. The Congress party should be telling the farmers that why did they talk about ending the mandis in their 2019 election manifesto and the inter-state trade of agricultural produce.

Pratul said that for the first time after independence, the Central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to double the income of farmers. Congress is unable to digest this. He said that State president of Congress Dr. Rameshwar Oraon ji is baselessly saying that the MSP will be abolished; while the Central government has clarified many times that there is no such thing. Pratul said that the Congress is trying to prove a lie as truth by telling the same lie again and again.

The BJP leader said that today there is a trend of bashing the private industrial houses of the country on every issue. Farmers, labourers, the middle class, industry, business world all contribute to the progress of the country. That is why the tradition of marking any one sector and humiliating it should end.
