The closing ceremony of Jai Bharat Satyagraha Sabha of Congress was held at the old assembly ground of the State Capital on Sunday. The solidarity of the Congressmen was clearly visible in the Satyagraha programme across the State. After a long time, such a crowd was seen in the district level meeting.
The Congress In-Charge, Avinash Pandey also looked excited after seeing the heavy crowd. Working President of State Congress, Bandhu Tirkey and Mandar MLA, Shilpi Neha Tirkey reached the venue with a large number of supporters. On the other hand, Khijri MLA, Rajesh Kachhap also showed his mettle by gathering a large number of his supporters.
It is known that there was anger in the party after Rahul Gandhi's membership was canceled and he was sentenced to two years in the Modi surname case by the Surat court. The Congress party had started Satyagraha Sabha against this across the Country. The 1950 km Jai Bharat Satyagraha Yatra was started from Lohardaga on April 4 which ended on April 16. The State Congress Chief, Rajesh Thakur, Legislature Party Leader, Alamgir Alam, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahai, along with many Ministers and Congress office bearers were present in this programme.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion Pandey said Jharkhand is with Rahul Gandhi in his struggle. Today is the 13th day. The journey is ending. “Congratulations to the district and metropolitan committee for the successful event. Congress appeared strong in the entire State. There is a dictatorial Government in the Country. The Government with a strange decision gave capital to a person. This movement is not just for Rahul Gandhi, this fight is to save democracy. We have faith in the judiciary. Congress is agitating all over the Country. The fight continues from the house to the street. Everyone is watching why Rahul Gandhi lost his membership. Membership was taken when Rahul Gandhi asked the question of the Country. This is not an election meeting but a mass movement Satyagraha it is to make people aware. The battle of 2024 is as much as us. The dictatorial BJP Government has to be uprooted. Our president Mallikarjun Kharge is leading the fight. He told all the workers that I have come to request you to take this fight to the end. This enthusiasm needs to be maintained. Keep this flame alive, we will fight and win. Party people are requested to convey Rahul Gandhi's voice to the last person,” he added.
During the program, Bandhu Tirkey said that the party leaders should meet the President regarding the Sarna Dharma Code. He said that the State In-Charge said in this regard that a meeting should be held. At the same time, he also demanded formation of Displacement Commission in the State, he added.
The statement of suspended Congress MLA Rajesh Kachhap attracted everyone's attention. He said in front of the party, forgive him if he have made a mistake. “If I am thrown out of the party, then my existence will die. I am a soldier of the party. The party is the parent. If I have lost my way, then bring me on the right path,” he added.
Rebel Congmen to hold Cong Bachao Mahadharna
The State Congress Committee Senior Leaders Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdev and Rajesh Gupta issued will organize Congress Bachao Mahadharna on coming April 20 from 4.30 pm in front of Bapu Vatika, Morhabadi in the State Capital. They will demand to remove the party State In-Charge and State Chief.
Addressing media persons Dubey said that it was decided to organize Jai Bharat Satyagraha across the Country against the injustice being done to Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi and it was announced to walk 1950 kilometers in Jai Bharat Satyagraha in Jharkhand. “As per the instructions to held Satyagraha in block, panchayat, town, village and agitate in front of the Collector. Like Rahul Gandhi did 4000 kilometers on foot, but in Jharkhand, on the contrary, 1950 kilometers by airplane and motor car. The Satyagraha Yatra was fixed and garland wearing yatra and greeting ceremony was done at the district headquarters which is like throwing dust to the party leadership,” he added.
Congress Leader Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo said that the way In-Charges are doing arbitrariness in the entire State, in the name of discipline, they are continuously threatening and suspending the workers, by publicly talking about the removal of the Ministers of their own Government he is putting both of them in the dock. Torturing tribal and minority leaders, in such a situation, a massive protest is being organized to demand that both of them be relieved of their posts, he added.
