Congress pulls up Govt for CM's China visit

The State Congress attacked Government for Chief Minister Raghubar Das’ five day China trip where he along with his ministerial colleagues and officials had on Monday witnessed some advanced farming techniques by visiting a village over there.

“The Chief Minister is going to China to see agricultural technology but never visited Patratu near to Ranchi where farmers were commuting suicides due to farm distress,” said former Pradesh Congress Committee president and party’s lohardaga MlA Sukhdeo Bhagat on Tuesday addressing a press conference flanked with present State Congress chief Ajoy Kumar.

The PCC chief on his part slammed the Government machinery for slapping treason case against some people for their objectionable ‘facebook’ post. “This is blatant misuse of power. If the Government can book someone for merely sharing facebook post then I am hereby also sharing that post and let them file cases against me,” said Ajoy Kumar displaying the material.

The Congress president at the same time expressed anguish over inordinate delay taking place in the completion of Tata-Ranchi highway and the issue of attack on the Christian minorities allegedly happening in the State for which, he claimed, even the BJP-ruled Meghalaya’s Chief Minister had met and complained to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh few days ago.
