In an attempt to combat epidemic in the State Capital, a delegation of Ranchi District Mahanagar Congress (RDMC), led by Chief, Sanjay Pandey, met Civil Surgeon and submitted a memorandum on Saturday regarding the poor condition of health facilities in the State Capital.
RDMC members demanded that bleaching powder shall be sprayed across the city. Pandey demanded the Health Minister, Health Secretary and Civil Surgeon to start an awareness drive regarding monsoon-specific diseases and at the same time distribute medicines related to the same in the slum areas of every ward in the State Capital.
“If the Government does not work towards strengthening the health facilities, we will hold fierce agitation,” he said.
Pandey said that the prevailing condition of health and treatment in the State Capital is very poor and there is no long term scheme to combat any untoward situation if it arises.
“There is a huge scarcity of doctors and para medical staff. Last year, Dengue and Chikugunya broke out in the city due to filth and garbage collected in various parts of the State Capital. If a similar situation arises again, there will not be enough doctors to deal with the patients,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ranchi District Rural Congress Committee on Saturday held a meeting in the chairmanship Suresh Baitha in which District Rural Congress office bearers, senior Congress leaders and Block presidents were present.
Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Alok Dubey expressed his views and discussed the plans to contest in upcoming State Assembly Election.
Addressing the party worker during the meeting, Baitha said that the party workers should start public meeting and expose the State Government’s anti-public policy.
He said that on July 8, the workers will burn effigy of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for increasing prices of Diesel and Petrol.
