Rural Development Minister Chandrashekhar Dubey continues to embarrass the Hemant Soren Government in defiance of the Congress leadership’s diktat not to go public with comments against the Government.
Dubey has claimed that Chief Minister Hemant Soren was ignoring the advice of the Congress central leaders, including B K Hariprasad and Jairam Ramesh to reward him with big budget portfolios.
“When I met them in Delhi they assured that within couple of days this would happen but has not happened after months! I got assurance not less than 10 times. My leaders have even told the CM in my presence. But if the CM has decided that he would not do this then there is no way out,” said Dubey, who has been clamouring to get the Rural Works Department.
Dubey also blamed the chief minister for doing transfer-postings based on his choice. “We Ministers are never consulted for that. This should not have been done,” he maintained. He, however, sounded soft on seat sharing formula with the JMM and even sees scope in taking it forward even in the Assembly election due later part of 2014. “We are in alliance with 10-4 formula. The way we are working in Jharkhand we would not be in loss,” he maintained.
He also hinted sufficiently that he would contest from Dhanbad for lok Sabha. “People of Dhanbad want me to present them in Parliament. They say that they would fight election on my behalf,” he added.
