Calling the election meetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jharkhand and Australia as well “stage-managed” programmes, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay of the Congress strongly condemned the remarks made by him on Friday that the nationalization of banks was a failure in the country. Sahay, while talking to media persons here on Friday said that Modi’s ‘Clean India drive’, which was actually launched by him, has become a medium of modeling and photo session for the BJP leaders.

“If the Prime Minister thinks that the nationalization of banks in India was a failure, only God can save this country. I wonder how poor people are going to survive here,” said Sahay.

Sahay also called Modi’s visit to Australia and other foreign countries as a symbol of fake diplomacy. “Modi’s team, reaches a month ahead of his visit to Australia or any other place like Jharkhand, and makes proper arrangements for his rock and roll show like done today, by providing tickets and other facilities for the people coming for it,” added Sahay.

Calling Modi as a “bauraya hua chhaura (insane youth)”, Sahay said that the PM wants to see the world, but is totally unaware about the happening at his native village. He also said that condemning nationalization of banks as a sign of losing his mental balance which also hints that ‘acche din’ for the Industrialists have come.

“The way government is encourage disinvestment of ‘Navratna’ companies, itself proves that they are promoting black money in the country. On the contrary they are seeking votes on the promise of taking black money back to the Country,” said Sahay. Real face of BJP is now clearly visible, he added.

Sahay also alleged the centre of disrupting the poll campaign of Congress and its alliance partners in the state. “As many as six election meetings of Congress party were cancelled in two days. We have also requested the Election Commission to look into the matter and ensure that the meetings of candidates of other parties do not get disrupted,” he said. Modi had come to connect Jharkhand but disconnected the Jharkhandis, commented Sahay.

The JMM, on the other hand, raising questions over Modi appeal to the people of this state to end the father-son government in the state has asked whether giving ticket to Jayant Sinha after Yashwant Sinha is not nepotism paving path for taking over the Finance ministry by the son which was earlier occupied by the father.

Referring to Modi’s comment that there is no place of arrogance in Politics, JMM spokesperson Vinod Pandey stated, “What to call Modi insulting the Chief Minister’s publically during his addresses.”

Pandey also alleged that Modi does not like hearing someone else being praised before him.
