State BJP has while terming Congress anti-dalit and anti- tribal rapped it for series of decisions made by it. Referring to the appointment of Gunjan Singh as president of Jharkhand State Congress women wing, party spokesperson and general secretary Deepak Prakash quoted cases filed against her.

“Congress has always been a party against dalits and tribals. Congress State president Ajay Kumar appointed Gunjan Singh as president of party’s woman wing which clearly shows that. FIR with Chatra police is pending against her at Piparwar for the criminality,” said Deepak Prakash on Sunday addressing a press conference.

Coming to BJP’s programme linked with former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he said that on the completion of one month of the towering leader’s demise on September 16, the party would organize ‘Kavyanjli’ at all 81 Assembly constituencies of Jharkhand. “Audio clips of Atal ji’s reciting his poems would be played there where creations of other poets relevant to him would also be presented. Intellectuals from different walks of life would be invited,” said the BJP leader.

He also recalled the success of Vajpayee’s ashes journey in which laks of people participated and paid their homage.

This apart, the party is going to organise ‘karyanjli seva saptah’, a weeklong programme starting from birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17 to party’s founder Deepdayal Upadhayay’s on September 25.

“People and party workers would work for sanitation and cleanliness during the week at thousands of places,” said Deepak Prakash adding that awareness drives would be conducted for ‘Ayushman Bharat’ which is to cover 58 lakh families across the country with Rs five lakh of health insurance cover.
