An effigy of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was burnt at Albert Ekka Chowk under the leadership of Pradesh Congress Working President Bandhu Tirkey on Thursday regarding the incident of a BJP worker urinating on a tribal youth who was intoxicated with power in the BJP rule of Madhya Pradesh. Hundreds of workers mainly from Adivasi Congress and Sarna Sangharsh Samiti participated in the effigy burning programme.
State Congress Working President Bandhu Tirkey said that India will no longer tolerate the insult of tribals. Dalits, tribals and minorities are continuously being tortured by the BJP in the country. The BJP, which calls itself a well-wisher of the tribals, misleads the tribals by saying different things. The country is seeing that a BJP worker is being made to urinate on the forehead of a tribal. What an irony, the tribal leaders of BJP should die by drowning.
State spokesperson Satish Paul Munjani said that it is a matter of great shame that the country's first civilian president is a tribal woman and today BJP workers are doing inhuman acts on tribals. Where do you get the strength to do such an act? Today, in the nine years since the formation of the BJP government at the centre, Dalits, tribals and minorities have been subjected to hatred in the entire country, sometimes in the name of mob lynching, sometimes in the name of cow-calf, sometimes in the name of forward-backward. The atmosphere has been created and the morale of such people has been boosted due to hate speech by their leaders.
State General Secretary Shiv Kumar Bhagat said that the Prime Minister talks about everyone's support, on the other hand, the whole country is watching how the BJP workers are behaving with the tribals of the country. Humiliation and harassment of tribals will not be tolerated at any cost.
Amulya Neeraj Khalkho, Belas Tirkey, Bhanu Pratap Badaik, Vinay Sinha Deepu, Makchund, Shiva Oraon, Roshan Kujur, Rambhajan, Krishna Kumar, Shiva Kachhap, Munna Munda, Surendra, along with hundreds of people were present on the occasion.
