Gearing up ahead of the 2019 battles, the Congress in the State has decided to expand its several wings right up to the district level. Party’s Jharkhand in-charge RPN Singh handed over the task to the office bearers which would be completed by August 31.

RPN Singh, who is on the five-day trip to the State, on Tuesday presided over a meeting with the in-charges of the cells such as education, public health, MGNREGA, Information Technology, media, farmer and labourers and others where strategies for the future electoral battles were also discussed.

“All the heads have been directed to start working for re-organising and reviving their respective cells right up to district level which is missing in Jharkhand. These cells are necessary for the revival of the party and to regain their lost ground and connect with the people right at the grass root level,” said Singh after the meeting also attended by Congress legislative Party leader Alamgir Alam and co-in-charge Omang Singhar besides Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ajoy Kumar.

Besides, all the chairpersons of the cells have been directed to prepare detailed programme and apprise about this to the JPCC’s authority at the State level.

An extensive meeting of Congress media cell also took place where the spokespersons were guided about the ways to disseminate information in the most effective manner.

“We have been told to look carefully at the lines and decisions taken at the top level into the party and then go with it among the masses through the media. Everyone has been told to stick to the stand taken by the party leadership over the issues of national importance. Policies and programmes of the party are to be promoted right up to panchayat level. Also the strategy to handle misinformation spread the Government and exposing the BJP for not fulfilling the commitments made before the 2014 polls was prepared,” said JPCC spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey. later hundreds of workers from Bokaro district joined the party in the presence of the State in-charge and the PCC chief.
