Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) on Wednesday assured the party District presidents that their proposals will be considered sincerely in the formation of ‘Bis Sutri’ (20 point) committee and monitoring committee on the basis of their performance during corona transition period.
Under the chairmanship of JPCC Chief, Dr Rameshwar Oraon and in the presence of Congress Legislature Party Leader, Alamgir Alam, a review meeting with all the district presidents and the chairman of the various wings of the party.
Addressing the meeting, Oraon said during the corona transition period, under the leadership of the District presidents of the Congress Party, unprecedented work was done for the help of the affected people, for which all the party District presidents are worthy of thanks.
“In this period of epidemic, the Congress party has discharged a dual responsibility. Along with organisational activities, agitation programmes, relief operations have also been conducted in this hour of difficulty. All of you have honestly done the work of keeping the problems arising at the ground-level in this review meeting,” he added.
The JPCC Chief said it will be directed to the officers working in the administrative departments of all the districts that when the people of Congress party go to them regarding public problems, their views should be taken seriously and considered. “To give impetus to the nationwide outreach campaign of the All India Congress Committee, every office bearer, worker should mobilise and try to reach as many people as possible. Due to wrong and anti-people policies of the BJP-led Central Government, inflation is at its peak at present. The unemployment rate has crossed 8 per cent. Inflation, unemployment, declining salary have hit the people of India all-round. Due to the continuous price hike of petrol and diesel, the common man is suffering. A series of agitations have been decided by the party on this subject, under which cycle rallies at all district headquarters on July 17, and signature campaigns at all petrol pumps on July 19, should be mobilized from now itself to make the programmes successful,” said Oraon.
Speaking on the occasion, Alam said that due to wrong policies of BJP, inflation is at peak.
“According to the latest data of consumer price inflation, it has reached 6.3 per cent. Due to the increase in the price of petrol-diesel gas, CNG, PNG, all the things like food and drink, all means of transport have become expensive. Three important questions stand before the general public, what to eat, what to cook, how to run the household budget. By giving assurance of good days to the public and seeing the expensive days, it has completely distorted the domestic budget, so it becomes the responsibility of all the respected district presidents of the Congress party, the chairman of the various wings, and the party District presidents to be vigilant. While fulfilling the responsibility, try to get all the agitation programmes set at the level of All India Congress Committee and State Congress Committee to be successfully completed following the Covid protocol,” he added.
