Following the instruction of All India Congress Committee (AICC), Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) on Thursday held Bharat Jodo Yatra in the State Capital. The Yatra started from the Congress headquarter and crossed Shaheed Chowk, Albert Ekka Chowk, Sarjana Chowk on the main road of Ranchi.

Large number of the party leaders and workers participated in the programme. Slogans were raised during the march like eradicating hate-distributing, stop misusing constitutional institutions, reduce inflation. Wreaths were also laid at the martyr's site by the Congressmen during the Bharat Jodo Padyatra.

Addressing the Padyatra program, JPCC Chief, Rajesh Thakur said that this journey will write history. “This is to show the power of unity, step by step and make India of dreams. It is a journey of the whole Country. Today crores of people feel that this journey will prove to be very beneficial for uniting India. The Bharat Jodo Yatra is the beginning of a positive politics, calm contemplation, and new resolve. The tricolor represents every person living in this Country,” he added.

On the occasion Health Minister in the State Government, Banna Gupta said that the Country is surrounded by a huge economic crisis and has grown like a tragedy. He said that this ‘Yatra’ has been done to listen to the voice of the people of India. “The party don't want to suppress the voice of the people of India like RSS and BJP. Want to listen to the people of India. That is the purpose of this journey. This is the journey of Congress party, in the interest of the Country and in it every class, every sect, every person, whether political or non-political, which is today the deteriorating economy of this Country, social disharmony, which is increasing, which is a threat to the Indian Constitution,” he added.

“Bharat Jodo Yatra started from Kanyakumari on September 7, the day before today. This journey will be about 3,500 km long and it will pass through 12 states and 2 union territories. One of the big ideas behind Bharat Jodo Yatra is that of our leader Rahul Gandhi. They believe that the economic inequalities that are there, due to inflation, due to unemployment, due to GST, the economic challenges that our Country is facing, the inequalities are increasing, so keeping these in view, because they are dividing in a way. It is because of the economic inequalities of the society, so that is why India has to be united,” said Gupta.

Congress Legislature Party Deputy Leader, Pradeep Yadav said that the purpose of Bharat Jodo Yatra is to eradicate economic inequalities, which are visible in our Country today, inflation, unemployment, GST, to show the economic inequalities that are increasing. Why India is in a position to unite Today, it is necessary to connect India because India is breaking up and the first reason for breaking up is economic inequalities, increasing economic inequalities,” said Gupta.
