Protesting against the three farm laws brought by the Central Government, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) on Saturday held ‘Padtyatra’ in each district headquarters of the State. The party organised a march of 10 to 20 kilometers in the districts in support of the Kisan movement.

Giving a detailed information about this “black law” of the central Government, JPCC Chief cum the State Finance Minister Dr Rameshwar Oraon announced that the farmers movement will continue until the three farm laws are withdrawn. He said this while unveiling the statue of Maharaja Madeira Rai Munda in the State Capital.

Oraon said that this will be the first law in the history of the world that the people for whom it has been enacted have not demanded it. "Only on behalf of some capitalist friends of the Central Government the laws were brought. Despite the heavy protest the BJP led Government at the Center is trying to ignore the farmers to please a few of their capitalist friends," he added.

"On behalf of the Congress Party, a phased movement is being organised in support of the farmers' movement, in this order, after conference at all the block headquarters on February 10 of the State, the march was successfully organized in the districts. The responsibility of making all these agitation programmes successful has been entrusted to the Agriculture Minister Badal and he is very successful in making all the programs successful. I am expressing gratitude to him for his excellent work," said Oraon.

In Hazaribagh district headquarter, Agriculture Minister Badal participated in Padyatra against the three laws. Speaking on the occasion Badal said that Lal Bahadur Shastri had given the slogan of Jai Jawan and Jai Kisan, but today the Central Government is working to bring farmers and jawans to fight each other for its personal selfishness. A phased agitation will continue against it until the laws are withdrawn, he added.

Health Minister Banna Gupta participated in the Padyatra in Jamshedpur. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Gupta said that the agricultural law is a curse for the farmers, the Congress party stands with the farmers, until the agricultural law is returned, the party's fight against the Central Government will continue. He said that when farmers do not want to take vitamin needles, then why are they trying to forcibly give them vitamin supplements.
