The Congress has hijacked democracy here in Jharkhand. The party is ruling the State through backdoors and its leaders are minting money by using Raj Bhawan in the transfer-posting game. It was stated by Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha while addressing a massive rally of BJP workers in front of Hazaribagh collectorate gate.
As per schedule, the BJP workers started gathering near the collectorate gate from about 10 in the morning. At about 11:30 am when senior leaders of State and district BJP reached there, the protest rally against UPA II Government started. Enthusiastic volunteers locked the gate of collectorate and the leaders started addressing the public and workers from there.
Yashwant said that this UPA-II Government has crossed all the limits of corruption and in 2014 when the BJP gets the power most of the faces of this Government will be behind the bars. “No control on price hike, devaluation of rupees and the economic health of the country say that economist Manmohan Singh is now no more,” he added.
State BJP president Ravindra Roy said that now the BJP is not going to demand dissolution of State Assembly and now the party would fight for on the streets. He said that the Congress is ruling here through the Governor and is also engaged in making a puppet Government with the help of JMM, RJD and independents to loot the State coffers.
MlA Umashankar Akela, Amit Kumar Yadav, Ex-MlA Devdayal Kuswaha, lokanth Mahto, State vice-president Deepak Prakash and many other senior leaders of BJP addressed the rally and criticised the UPA-II Government for corruption, price hike and for not dissolving the Jharkhand Assembly. District President Tunnu Gope presided the meeting.
After 2 pm, SDO Rajeev Ranjan and DSP AK Singh reached dharna spot and first asked the leaders to vacate spot. When they refused, the district administration arrested them and sent them to the stadium campus. Here the administration first tried to get the bond paper filled by the leaders to release them but Yashwant flattely refused this proposal and after some discussions the administration released all the leaders and workers unconditionally.
