Attacking the BJP on Seema Patra issue National Spokesperson of All India Congress Committee, Prof. Gaurav Vallabh today said in a press conference that disrespecting tribals was in the DNA of BJP. State Congress Committee working president Bandhu Tirkey, State spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, Abha Sinha, Satish Paul Munjani, office in-charge Amulya Neeraj Khalkho, Mahila Congress state president Gunjan Singh were present on the occasion.
Vallabh said that humiliating tribals is in BJP's DNA. “BJP leader Seema Patra has committed the rarest of rare crimes with a tribal daughter. The BJP leader took the tribal daughter Sunita hostage, got the floor of the house cleaned with her tongue, stained her body with a hot pan and made her drink urine. The BJP leader, who committed such a heinous crime, was made the state convener of "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" by the party,” he said.
“In fact, this is the real character and face of the BJP towards the tribal brothers and sisters. We demand from the Prime Minister and Home Minister of the country that they should apologize to the tribals of the whole country in this matter. The PM, who tweeted on the fire in the Amazon forest, is silent on the plight of the tribal daughter. Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani is silent. Is this your good day for the tribals?” asked Vallabh.
He further said that the BJPis unable to tolerate that the son or daughter of a tribal moves forward. “One such tribal (Guruji Shibu Soren), who dedicated his entire youth and old age to the Jharkhand movement, today his son Hemant Soren became the CM of the state and led the poor, tribal, labourers, exploited, oppressed, dalits, deprived and weak people of the state. If doing so, the BJP cannot tolerate it. What are the tactics BJP is not adopting to remove that tribal's son from the post of CM. But I want to make one thing clear that this Jharkhand is the land of Sido-Kanhu, Chand-Bhairava, Lord Birsa Munda, the land of the heroes who wrote the saga of bravery with their blood. The freedom movement was first started from this land and tribal heroes had driven the British out of this land, and now tribals across the country will also drive away these people. Tribal society will avenge its humiliation in the 2024 elections,” he added.
