The van is first of its kind operating in Jharkhand with all latest equipment acoustically equipped inside it. The mobile van was shown a green flag in presence of Vikash Bharti Secretary Padma Shri Ashok Bhagat, president of Ekal Utthan Yojana, Arun Khemka, Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Chairperson Arvind Singh and Deputy Chairman of JAC Phool Singh among others.
Citing details about the facility given under this particular programme (computer on wheels) president of Ekal Utthan Yojana, Arun Khemka asserted, “Our motto is to make rural kids aware about the benefits of computer literacy. In the era of digitalization computer knowledge has become mandatory to excel in any specific field.”

Those candidates who will complete 30 days of computer training programme in their respective villages will be awarded with the certificate that will be provided by IIT-B but it will be accredited with the Government of India,” Khemka further asserted.
On highlighting the efforts of Ekal Abhiyan and Vikash Bharti in education sector, Khemka said, “Without any financial support from the government we are managing approximately 62 thousand schools in various remote villages across the country. As far as computer centres are concerned, we have 10 centres in Jharkhand catering approximately 200 villages. All financial needs are fulfilled through various donations which are received by our organizations.”
About the expansion of the mobile van project, the dignitaries present on the occasion emphasized that everything depends upon the success rate of the first project. However, the people associated with the project have decided to further widen the project and in an initiative it will further collaborate with TATA Foundation for the project expansion.
