Commissioner of South Chottanagpur Division KK Khandelwal on Monday reviewed ongoing projects under the Road Construction department, Ring Road and building construction taking place. He said that before constructing any new building, approval of DCs should be taken.
The Commissioner also instructed to provide a performa to the magistrate for probing into any work and report should be taken about the ongoing projects so that their status can be ascertained. He also took stock of the situation relating to land acquisition and others, including law and order. “Naxal issue as a problem should not be marked in the report as a reason for obstruction instead the problem be reported to DC and SP immediately,” said Khandelwal.
He also directed Civil Surgeons to deploy doctors in additional health centres and make sure availability of medicines. All the civil surgeons would be given training in handling cerebral malaria cases. Schemes running under irrigation, rural electrification, seed distribution, CM rural bridge, forest rights and MGNREGA were also reviewed in the meeting that was attended by DCs of Ranchi, Simdega, Khunti, lohardaga, Gulma and other senior officials.
