A surprise inspection was carried out by the Transport Commissioner Faiz Ahmad at District Transport Office here on Thursday. On raid many mismanagement and irregularities were found. An employee Sanjay Modi was arrested for having 8 gifts cards of HDFC bank. The computer operator Ravi Kumar was given a show cause notice. Both of them work under louming Company. The head clerk Nawal Ram was also found engaged in illegal acts with the computer operators. The commissioner ordered to issue show cause and form ‘A’ against the head clerk.
It was noticed that even after cashless system the clerks and the employees of the offices are engaged in taking bribe for issuing driving license and for registration of the vehicles. After that the commissioner reached DTO office with Sadar thana-in-charge and caught Ravi Kumar taking bribe.
The head clerk Nawal ram was unable to furnish the reports and registers on demand of the commissioner. After that the SDO-cum-DTO Raj Maheshwaram ordered to release form ‘A’ and lodged an FIR against Ravi Kumar the computer operator in Sadar Thana.
